PREP Clinical Immersion Program Development

CHEST Professional Representative Education Program (PREP)

Physician-Developed, Physician-Taught

The PREP Clinical Immersion is created and taught by top medical faculty. Each program is unbranded and disease-specific, developed from evidence-based guidelines and current clinical practices. PREP “classrooms” include leading academic medical centers and our state-of-the-art Innovation, Simulation, and Training Center, conveniently located 25 minutes from O’Hare Airport in Glenview, Illinois.

Physicians who develop content and/or serve as faculty in PREP meet three to four of the following criteria:

  • Board certification in specialty area
  • Well-published in literature
  • Faculty at a major academic center
  • Leadership position at a major academic center
  • Experience as an investigator in clinical trials
  • Commitment to deliver quality content within the allotted time frame

Off-site PREP Clinical Immersion Courses
The PREP Clinical Immersion can be taught at one site or multiple sites, depending on the number of participants. CHEST partners with major medical institutions deemed appropriate for the courses.

The sites are selected using the following considerations:

  • Center(s) of excellence
  • Site director commitment
  • Depth of faculty to support the program
  • Availability of physical space to host the program
  • Date availability
