Critical Care Societies Collaborative Encourages Support for Pakistan Recovery

The Critical Care Societies Collaborative (CCSC) is saddened by the recent disaster in Pakistan. The widespread devastation caused by flooding has affected millions in the country, leaving many without clean water, food, shelter, or access to health care. Many of those affected are members of CCSC organizations, which include the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and Society of Critical Care Medicine.

The CCSC recognizes that resources will be needed to aid in Pakistan’s recovery from this terrible event. We encourage our members to support the country’s relief and recovery efforts by donating to one of the Pakistan Health Cluster organizations identified by the World Health Organization. Read the latest Health Cluster Bulletin to learn more. Find the link at www.who.int/hac/crises/pak/en/index.html.

Our thoughts are with the people of Pakistan who have suffered during this disaster and will remain with them as they begin to rebuild their homes, communities, and lives.
