ACCP Governors Mission
To support the advocacy initiatives of the ACCP through education and action. To serve as the regional link between the College, its members, and the pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine communities.

ACCP International Regents and Governors offer leadership in their countries through recruitment of new members, approval of member applications, and as liaisons to the College on behalf of their members. If you would like more information about the ACCP in your country, please contact your International Regent or Governor.
ACCP's International Structure
Countries with at least eight ACCP members have an elected International Regent. Fellows receive ballots to recommend Regents, or local chapters may recommend them. ACCP's International Nominations Subcommittee reviews the recommended candidates and sends the names of selected candidates to the Nominations Committee for approval. Regents in countries with sufficient ACCP members may arrange for Governors to assist them. Both Regents and Governors must be Fellows (FCCPs) and can serve up to two, 3-year terms.
International Regents and Governors constitute the Council of International Regents and Governors. Every year, Regents elect the Vice-Chair of the council. The Vice-Chair serves for 1 year before becoming Chair. Both council Chairs serve on the ACCP Board of Regents. If you want more information about the Regent position, please contact Marisa McCarren.
