Medical Management of Chronic Rhinosinusitis

Antihistamines

Antihistamines have been advocated for management of chronic rhinosinusitis, especially when there was reason to believe that there was an allergic trigger. Unfortunately, to date no studies have shown that their use in this setting is beneficial.³⁹ They do have a beneficial role in preventing or treating acute allergic flares in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis.
