Prophylaxis

Prophylaxis is also important. Some have suggested that all patients with a history of chronic sinus problems should receive influenza vaccine each year, and pneumococcal vaccine with a booster every 5 years; those aged > 65 years should also receive a conjugated H influenzae type B vaccine.³³
