John S. Bauer
John is the co-founder and managing member of Aspen Consulting Group, Ltd. John has worked in the health-care industry for over 30 years. He brings to the organization an extensive level of “hands-on” experience in the management of health-care professional practices. During his career, John has acted as administrative and executive director for over 19 years for a single-specialty medical group, managing 12 offices throughout northeastern Ohio, with over 60 employees. He has managed the billing cycle and accounts receivable management issues inherent in his positions. Also, he has participated in all aspects of planning, practice evaluation, executive compensation and benefit issues, provider contract review and negotiation, and all other related operational issues involved in the day-to-day operations of a health-care professional practice. John gives presentations internationally for several health-care associations and organizations on business and operation-related topics. John’s education was completed at Baldwin-Wallace College through a Masters in Business Administration. He is a Fellow at the American College of Medical Practice Executives, a Registered Respiratory Therapist in the State of Ohio, a Member of the Medical Group Management Association, a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner affiliated with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Robert G. Haney
Bob is the co-founder and managing member of Aspen Consulting Group, Ltd. Bob has worked with health-care professional practices for over 30 years in all aspects of planning, compliance reporting, organizational structures, executive compensation and benefit planning, and management issues. During his career, he has acted as both managing and tax partner for local certified public accounting firms. He also founded his own accounting and consulting firm in 1989, after 20 years of practice. Bob’s education was completed at Cleveland State University, along with ongoing continuing education in the areas of accounting, tax planning, and management. He is a Member of the Medical Group Management Association and is affiliated with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has spoken on many aspects of group practice and planning over the past 20 years. In addition to extensive experience with health-care professional practices, he has had substantial exposure to auditing and compliance issues for financial institutions and the examination of internal controls to safeguard assets.
