Airways Disorders: A clinical NetWork working to educate physicians and patients about airways disorders. Allied Health: A community NetWork promoting the prevention and treatment of diseases of the chest through leadership, education, research, and communication. Cardiovascular Disease and Hypertension: A clinical NetWork focusing on cardiovascular diseases as related to heart diseases and hypertension, newer therapeutic and diagnostic developments, and relevant critical care and end-of-life issues. Chest Infections: A clinical NetWork focused on reviewing newer diagnostic techniques in chest infections; improving preventive therapy practices; and evaluating current clinical practices, emergence of drug resistance, and innovative methods for health-care delivery. Clinical Pulmonary Medicine: A clinical NetWork designed to meet the needs of the generalist pulmonary physician or those members who have a broader focus in pulmonary medicine other than disease specific. Critical Care: A clinical NetWork dedicated to the enhancement of the scientific knowledge, evidence-based medicine, and clinical practices that further our understanding of the mechanism and management of acute and life-threatening critical illness, as well as the organizational attributes associated with the optimal delivery of critical care services. Cultural Diversity in Medicine: A community NetWork focused on making a difference in the lung health of minorities and children. Disaster Response: A community NetWork working to develop education and communication vehicles for physicians and health-care practioners worldwide on issues related to disaster preparation and response. e-Advisory: A community NetWork working to be the leading resource/e-health portal for pulmonary/critical care medicine. Home Care: A clinical NetWork made up of members who care for patients in the home or who have special interest in promoting the development of home care as a viable alternative to in-hospital care. Interstitial and Diffuse Lung Disease: A clinical NetWork advocating for patients with IDLDs by educating both health-care providers and patients. Interventional Chest/Diagnostic Procedures: A clinical NetWork focusing on invasive procedures performed by pulmonary and critical care medicine specialists. Occupational and Environmental Health: A clinical NetWork addressing the causes and treatment of pulmonary diseases resulting from occupational and/or environmental factors. Palliative and End-of-Life Care: A clinical NetWork, supported by the CHEST Foundation, focused on education, awareness, and project implementation related to palliative and end-of-life care. Clinical issues range from pain management to cultural diversity in palliative care. Pediatric Chest Medicine: A clinical NetWork focusing on pediatric and critical care diseases and treatment. Practice Administration: A community NetWork of physicians, practice administrators, and managers working to advance the art and science of cardiopulmonary medicine, surgery, and critical care in practice management. Private Practice: A community NetWork that develops, promotes, and exchanges ideas among the subspecialties of chest and critical care medicine in the private practice setting. Pulmonary, Physiology, Function and Rehabilitation: A clinical NetWork focusing on increasing the understanding of pulmonary physiology and function and incorporating that knowledge into clinical practice including pulmonary rehabilitation. Pulmonary Vascular Disease: A clinical NetWork working to serve and assure cohesion of the pulmonary vascular medical community and its dependent patients through education and dissemination of information on related topics. Respiratory Care: A clinical NetWork working to improve the knowledge and care of patients requiring respiratory care through education, research, and collaboration of health-care providers, patients, and support groups. Sleep Medicine: A clinical NetWork striving to promote sleep medicine as a specialty, provide educational and research opportunities, and raise awareness of issues pertinent to the practice of sleep medicine. Thoracic Oncology: A clinical NetWork advancing the concept of multidisciplinary care of the patient with thoracic cancer. Transplant: A clinical NetWork promoting education and advancement in transplantation medicine and immunology to both health-care providers and patients by identifying clinical problems in this subspecialty and addressing the dissemination of information. Women's Health: A community NetWork, supported by the CHEST Foundation, working as an interdisciplinary group of members with common interests unique to patient-based and/or member-based issues in women's health.
