e-Membership
International e-Membership Program
Introduction and Eligibility
The ACCP offers International
e-Membership to Fellows and Members in most countries (see ACCP e-dues by Country).
Information and Benefits of e-Membership
E-Membership brings you most ACCP communications electronically,
including the CHEST journal. E-members will not receive
the printed versions of the CHEST journal or other
ACCP publications in the mail.
- e-members pay lower e-Membership dues instead of $174 per
year. This e-member dues rate is based on the 2007 World Bank Classification
of Gross National Income and will vary by country. If your country is not on the list above, please email e-membership@chestnet.org for assistance.
- an e-newsletter, ACCP e-News, keeps e-members informed about ACCP educational
programs and other offerings with direct links to our Web site.
As an e-member, you will receive the same educational discounts
and other membership benefits as always. Please see the International
e-Membership Benefits. You remain a full ACCP Fellow or Member.
This program is voluntary; you can continue the "traditional" membership
and receive the print journal by mail for $174 per year if you
prefer.
The e-option is available at the time of your membership
dues renewal (invoice date). If you are a former Member or Fellow,
you may reinstate your membership, but you must first request a dues invoice from the College.
Becoming an ACCP Member
You must complete a membership application. You can apply online and choose either traditional membership for $174 per year dues, or e-membership at the rate listed for your country. There is a $50 one-time application fee, which is included in the first year’s dues payment. If you meet the requirements, you may also apply for fellowship (FCCP) at the same time by including the requested information.
Affiliate (physician-in-training) Member Eligibility
If you are an Affiliate (physician-in-training) member whose membership is about to end or has already ended, you may reinstate your ACCP membership but only as an ACCP member. In addition to paying Member dues, you will also pay a $50 one-time application fee. You can choose either e-membership or traditional membership from the options below. You can also apply for Fellowship (FCCP) at the same time by completing the requested information.
Advancement to Fellowship (FCCP)
There is no additional cost to apply for Fellowship if you are currently a Member. Here is how you can apply for FCCP:
Click here to apply online. Enter the information required for Fellowship as requested on the online form (use your current membership number). Click on Submit; there is no charge to apply.
Note: If you are an Affiliate Member applying for regular membership, you may also apply for Fellowship, but you will need to pay dues and one-time application fee.
Options for Eligible Members/Fellows
You may choose between two membership options. An e-Membership offers a lower annual dues rate when you receive all ACCP communications electronically (Option 1). Or, you can continue your traditional membership for $174 and continue to receive the print CHEST journal in the mail (Option 2). Please note that the option you choose will remain in effect for one full membership year and cannot be changed until your next dues expiration date. (If you are an Affiliate Member becoming a Member, you will pay an additional one-time $50 application fee.)
Instead of receiving the print version of the CHEST journal,
you will access the journal through an online interactive Web
site. Membership dues payment and other communications will also
be done electronically. e-Membership is available at a reduced
rate.
You can continue your traditional membership for
annual dues of $174. You will receive your usual Member or
Fellow benefits, including the print version of the CHEST journal
in the mail. If you are an Affiliate Member becoming a Member,
you will pay an additional one-time $50 application fee.
Note: If you should receive a dues invoice in the mail, please
disregard it if you pay online now.
