How Can I Get Involved?
The Airways Disorders NetWork welcomes your participation!
Ways to become involved:
- Attend the NetWork open meeting held Monday morning at the annual CHEST meeting. We will discuss ongoing projects and solicit ideas for new projects and CHEST programming.
- Sign up today to become a member of the NetWork, or contact networks@chestnet.org for more information. NetWork members receive information about current activities, as well as the minutes of conference calls and meetings.
- E-mail your suggestions for CHEST sessions to the steering committee.
- E-mail your ideas for NetWork projects, or submit a NetWork project application.
- Nominate yourself for an open NetWork steering committee position.
Examples of current or past projects:
- Submission of scientific program topics on airways disorders for the CHEST annual meeting
- Inhaler instruction project developing educational handouts for patients
- ACCP representation on the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program
- ACCP representation on the U.S. Stakeholder’s Group on MDI Transition
- Long-Acting Beta Agonists (LABA) survey assessing the prescribing patterns for COPD and asthma across various groups of physicians
- Review of evidence-based guidelines and consensus statements
