Thoracic Ultrasound for the Pulmonologist and Intensivist 2020

After careful consideration, CHEST has decided to cancel the live, in-person Mechanical Ventilation, and Thoracic Ultrasound for the Pulmonologist and Intensivist courses that were to take place this August in Washington, DC. CHEST will be developing new virtual courses over the next few months, and we will let you know when these will be available for your participation.

Point of care ultrasound is a powerful tool for managing patients presenting with acute hypoxic respiratory failure as well as chronic pulmonary and pleural disease. This course is designed to demonstrate the diagnostic power of point of care ultrasound, enable the learner to obtain needed images and to interpret and apply normal and abnormal images to patient presentations. We will demonstrate an Ultrasound guided approach to assessment of respiratory failure as well as evaluation and management of complex pleural disease.

Join us Tuesday, August 18 for one or both of our valuable half-day sessions designed to immerse the learner in two important topics for pulmonary and critical care physicians and team members. View our other half-day session, Mechanical Ventilation.
