This course aims to educate participants on frequently encountered issues in the diagnosis and management of interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). This course will help participants identify and differentiate the multiple types of ILDs, work through diagnostic approaches, and become more confident with therapeutic options. We will include coverage of imaging, pathologic findings, multidisciplinary teams, and evidence for therapies in the management of a wide spectrum of ILDs.

Course Objectives

  • Understand diagnostic modalities used for interstitial lung diseases, including radiology, biomarkers, and pathology.
  • Differentiate between the different interstitial lung diseases.
  • Choose appropriate therapies for treatment of interstitial lung diseases.

  3. Complete the post-assessment and Education Activity Evaluation and click the Claim Credit Now link.
  4. To complete the claiming process, click “Claim” next to the corresponding activity under “Claimable CME Activities.”
  5. Select the type of credit you want to claim, and enter the number of hours you are claiming, commensurate with your participation.
  6. Finalize by clicking the final “Claim” button.
  7. Your certificate and transcript can be viewed under “Claimed CME Activities” on your dashboard.

The American College of Chest Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American College of Chest Physicians designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Credit

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16433, for 8.5 contact hours.

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME. Individuals are responsible for checking with the AANPCB for further guidelines.

Physician Assistants

American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 8.5 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Maintenance of Certification Statement

Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 8.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

Upon successful completion of this course, CHEST will submit your completion data to ABIM via ACCME's Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) for MOC points. Please allow 3-5 business days after claiming for points to be reflected on your ABIM record.

Cancellation Policy

Tuition refund requests for this course must be received in writing by January 20, 2021 for a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. Refunds will not be given after January 20.
