CHEST provided comments on the Department of Health and Human Services 2023 Framework to Support and Accelerate Smoking Cessation. The comments included suggestions on specific benchmarks and metrics with an emphasis on those affecting populations and communities disproportionately impacted by smoking-related morbidity and mortality.

CHEST joined the American Medical Association in commending the US House of Representatives for introducing H.R. 2474, the Strengthening Medicare for Patients and Providers Act.
April 4, 2023
CHEST released a statement opposing the federal district court’s ruling in Braidwood Management Inc. v. Becerra and applauding the Department of Justice for acting so swiftly to appeal this decision.
