What is the COVID-19 Quiz?

The COVID-19 Quiz was developed by the CHEST COVID-19 Task Force, and questions were written by representatives from several different CHEST committees and work groups. The quiz is meant to test your knowledge of COVID-19-related topics. The quiz is administered through the Qstream platform.




How do I sign up for the quiz?

Anyone who is interested can enroll in the quiz by visiting chest.qstream.com. If you already have a CHEST Qstream account, sign in with your username and password. If you do not have an account, sign up for one.

Step 1

Once you are logged in to your Qstream account, click “Browse” in the top-right corner of the page.

You will see a link in the middle of the page for the CHEST COVID-19 Quiz.

Step 3

Click on the quiz, and then click on Enroll. You will receive an email confirming your enrollment and including the first questions.

How do I answer the quiz questions?

You will receive questions two at a time via email and/or through the Qstream app (visit your device’s app store to download the free app). You must answer the first set of questions before you are sent the next set. New questions will be sent 6 days after you answer the previous questions.

You can answer by clicking on the question in the email you receive or by visiting chest.qstream.com and logging in to your account. You can also answer questions within the Qstream app.




How long will the quiz last?

It should last approximately 5 months for most users; the exact length depends on how quickly you answer the questions after receiving them.




How many times can I try to answer each question?

You have one chance to correctly answer each question. After you submit your response, you will be shown the answer and rationale.




Is there a competition aspect to this quiz?

Yes, there is a public leaderboard that shows the top 10 users based on the points they’ve earned for answering questions. 




How do I claim CME for the quiz?

Please note: You will have to complete all 40 questions in this quiz before you are able to claim CME credit or nursing contact hours. Twenty-two questions have been released as of May 7, 2021. The remaining 18 questions will be released in the coming weeks; after completing the full quiz, credit can then be claimed.

To complete the Education Activity Evaluation for CHEST COVID-19 Quiz, claim CME/CE credits/points, and download CME/CE certificates and certificates of attendance (COA), please see the instructions below. You must complete your evaluation and download your certificate by December 31, 2021.

  1. Log in to learning.chestnet.org using your email address and password.
  2. Find this course in your course list.
  3. Complete the post-assessment and Education Activity Evaluation and click the Claim Credit Now link.
  4. To complete the claiming process, click on the Claim button next to the corresponding activity under Claimable CME Activities.
  5. Select the type of credit you want to claim, and enter the number of hours you are claiming, commensurate with your participation.
  6. Click the final Claim button.
  7. Your certificate and transcript can be viewed under Claimed CME Activities on your dashboard.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THE EDUCATION ACTIVITY EVALUATION BY DECEMBER 31, 2021.

Physician Credit

The American College of Chest Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American College of Chest Physicians designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Credit

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16433, for 8.0 contact hours.

Nurse Practitioners

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. Individuals are responsible for checking with the AANPCB for further guidelines.

Physician Assistants

American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 8.0 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Maintenance of Certification Statement

Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 8.0 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

Upon successful completion of this course, CHEST will submit your completion data to ABIM via ACCME's Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) for MOC points. Please allow 3-5 business days after claiming for points to be reflected on your ABIM record.
