Health and safety information

CHEST is committed to creating a meeting experience where you can safely and effectively conduct business. Therefore, CHEST requires all attendees, faculty, staff, and exhibitors working the show floor to have completed the complete course of an approved COVID-19 vaccination, including all boosters for which they are eligible, to participate in person at the CHEST 2022 Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.

CHEST may revise all safety protocols based on the current conditions, legal requirements, and recommendations in place at the time of the annual meeting.

CHEST cannot attest to the vaccination status of individuals fulfilling auxiliary services or hosting non-CHEST-produced events. We encourage everyone to follow current social distancing and masking recommendations.

CHEST offers a worry-free registration policy in which you may cancel your in-person registration for a full refund any time prior to the start of the meeting.

Health and safety code of conduct

We believe that maintaining the highest safety standard is critical to delivering a high-quality experience with the lowest reasonable risk in a manner that protects us all. For this reason, all CHEST 2022 registered attendees, faculty, staff, and exhibitors agree to follow the guidelines.

  1. Remain home and avoid travel if experiencing any COVID symptoms.
  2. Follow masking recommendations that are in place for the City of Nashville/Davidson County at the time of the annual meeting.
  3. Greet others using elbow bumps, waves, and any other form of contactless gestures. Avoid shaking hands or giving hugs.
  4. Perform a health status self-check every day for any onset of COVID symptoms, as defined by the CDC.
  5. Isolate and notify the First Aid Office immediately if feeling ill while at the meeting.

COVID-19 on-site testing

CHEST is working with an outside provider to make COVID-19 tests (rapid and PCR) available at the Music City Center next to the registration area. This service is available free of charge to all CHEST 2022 attendees. COVID-19 testing will be available during the regular registration hours.

CHEST encourages attendees to test for COVID-19 prior to departing for Nashville.
