Where do you work?
I run the Pulmonary Hypertension Program at Inova Fairfax Hospital where I am also responsible for outreach and education. I take care of patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), interstitial lung diseases, connective tissue diseases, sarcoidosis, and lung transplantation. We also have a budding chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension program, offering medical, interventional, and surgical treatments to our patients.

Are you involved in any other activities or volunteer positions at CHEST?
I was a member of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease NetWork for several terms and have participated in many activities, including annual meeting submissions, abstract grading, and development of the guideline proposals.

What clinical research is most interesting to you right now?
In addition to PAH, my clinical and research interests include pulmonary hypertension due to parenchymal lung diseases and sarcoidosis.

What are your hobbies?
In my spare time, I try to get outside (woods, lakes, mountains, beach)— our family likes it all. We also take every opportunity to travel, both near and far, to expand our horizons, meet new people, learn about new cultures, and try new foods.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with your Network peers?
I am excited and honored to serve as a Vice-Chair of the Pulmonary Vascular and Cardiovascular Network and work closely with Jean Elwing, MD, FCCP, in the next 2 years.
