CHEST Joins Equity and Justice Initiative Started by AMA

The American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) is now a member of the Rise to Health Coalition, an initiative started by the American Medical Association (AMA). With a focus on equity and justice, the coalition brings together organizations within the health ecosystem to build, lead, and advance shared solutions and collective actions to transform and strengthen health care.
As a member of the Professional Societies pillar, CHEST looks forward to engaging in efforts that will have a meaningful and intentional impact on health equity for providers, patients and the broader community. These efforts include:
- Commit to acting for equity
- Get grounded in history and your local context
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Make equity a strategic priority
- Take initiative with others
- Align, invest, and advocate for thriving communities
