European Attendees
The European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) will recognize certificates obtained by European physicians who attend cardiovascular medicine activities offered by US providers accredited within the ACCME system. Those physicians would submit their CME certificate from CHEST directly to EBAC to have EBAC credit awarded. The American Medical Association (AMA) has an agreement of mutual recognition of CME credit with the European Union of Medical Specialties (UEMS). Under the terms of this agreement, European physicians can earn ECMEC® by attending live events worldwide that have been certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

ABIM Maintenance of Certification
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 27 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

Upon successful completion of this activity, CHEST will submit your completion data to ABIM via ACCME’s Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) for MOC points. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for points to appear on your ABIM record.

To prevent delays in receiving MOC points, please make sure that your full name, date of birth, and ABIM number are correct in your CHEST account. (Your full name must match exactly as shown in your ABIM account).

Additionally, please make sure that ABIM account is current. This can be done by signing into your ABIM portal or contacting ABIM directly. If you are unsure of your account status or have questions regarding your account, please contact ABIM at +1 (800) 441-ABIM or request@abim.org.
