About this course

The use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is rapidly growing. In this course, you’ll acquire cannulation skills that can be used to place patients on venovenous (VV) and venoarterial (VA) ECMO. You’ll also learn how to initiate ECMO after cannulation, placement of distal perfusion cannula, and suture techniques. 
It is recommended to also attend the Management of Advanced Heart and Lung Failure With ECMO and Mechanical Circulatory Support course, held immediately preceding this course on April 11 to 12, 2024.

Cancellation Policy

Tuition refund requests for this course must be received in writing by 4 weeks prior to the course start date for a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. Refunds will not be given after 4 weeks prior to the course start date. If you choose "Become a Member" when you register, only your course registration can be cancelled. No refunds will be given for membership.

CHEST reserves the right to cancel this course no later than 4 weeks prior to the start date. If a cancellation is necessary, your registration fee will be refunded, but CHEST is not responsible for other costs of attendance, such as travel.
