CHEST Guideline Topic Submissions

CHEST relies on the input of members, volunteers, leaders, and staff to define and pursue opportunities to create high-quality, relevant guidelines. Submissions for preliminary topic proposals are now open and will be accepted until April 8, 2024.

Those who submit topic proposals will be considered for Chair (or a panelist) of the proposed guideline, subject to qualifications and conflicts of interest review per CHEST policy.

TOPIC PROPOSAL CRITERIA


Proposals that meet the following criteria will be prioritized for development:

  • Practice and/or health outcome can be significantly improved by the application of evidence- based statements
  • Wide variability exists within practice
  • New or recently evolved treatment or diagnostic strategies
  • High global, public health, and/or economic impact
  • Reflects the constituency of CHEST, and crosses over to various disciplines of chest medicine
