Integrating Advanced Practice Providers in Sleep Medicine: Roles, Models, and Resources

Recorded: March 2, 2026

Advanced practice providers (APPs) are increasingly common in specialty practice, including sleep medicine. Effective integration of APPs into a sleep medicine practice is essential to facilitate optimal teamwork, communication, and patient care. This webinar provides practical information to assist physicians and administrators looking to integrate APPs into their sleep medicine practice. Members of the Respiratory-Related Sleep Disorders Section review the roles and scope of practice of APPs, models for integrating APPs into specialty practice, and resources to support APPs in sleep medicine. Fully integrating APPs will maximize the value they bring, strengthen the sleep medicine team, and, ultimately, benefit the care of patients.
