What led you to join your Network?
I joined the CHEST Critical Care Network because I enjoy the fast-paced environment, the need for rapid and thoughtful decision-making, and the opportunity to care for patients who are critically ill while also supporting their family members during difficult times. I am equally excited by the cutting-edge research and constant innovation that drive the field forward and continue to advance critical care medicine.

What achievements are you most proud of contributing to within your Network?
I am most proud of serving as Chair of the Sepsis/Shock Section, where I have had the opportunity to support mentorship efforts and help develop sessions for the annual meeting. I have particularly enjoyed helping foster growth and engagement within the critical care community, creating infographics, and helping coordinate and support contributions to CHEST Physician® articles.

How has being in a Network benefited your career and your experience as a CHEST member?
Being part of the CHEST Critical Care Network has opened so many doors throughout my career by providing opportunities to connect with colleagues nationally and internationally. It has led to valuable collaborations, mentorship opportunities, and the development of lifelong friendships.

What are your hobbies?
Swimming, surfing, and hydrofoiling! When I’m not in the water, I’m playing golf and cooking with my husband.

What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
Our clowder of cats: Hamish, Lord Nelson (has one eye), and Apollo.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with your Network peers?
Say hello and introduce yourself to someone at every event; you never know what doors that will open for you or them.
