Where do you work?
I am Assistant Dean for Clinical Practice & Relationships and Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner, Surgical Critical Care, at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

What are your research interests and how does this apply to your position within the Networks?
My interests include diversity, equity, and inclusion and integration of palliative care in critical care. I use my interests to ensure we are creating inclusive education and messaging regarding palliative and end-of-life care.

How did you become interested and involved in the Critical Care Network?
I am an acute care nurse practitioner. Critical care is my one and only practice interest, so it was a natural fit to join the Critical Care Network.

What clinical research is most interesting to you right now?
I am passionate about exploring diversity in clinical practice and the health care workforce and how it impacts patient outcomes.

What are your hobbies?
I love playing bass guitar and riding my motorcycle.

What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
The beach—there is something healing and relaxing about basking in the sun and listening to the sounds of the ocean.
