Where do you work?
Henry Ford Hospital.

What are your research interests?
Guidelines/COPD/sarcoidosis/mechanical ventilation.

How did you become interested and involved in CHEST’s Networks?
I was a previous member of the Council of Governors and Board of Regents when the Networks evolved.

Are you involved in any other activities or volunteer positions at CHEST?
I have been Chair of the old Council of Governors, member of the Board of Regents, Chair of the Guidelines Oversight Committee, member of the former Government Relations Committee, and former Vice-Chair of the Critical Care Network.

What clinical research is most interesting to you right now?
Translational research collaborating with a biochemist at Michigan State University to study the microbiome in patients with sarcoidosis.

What are your hobbies?
French language and history, astronomy, and travel.

What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
Brunello from Montalcino.
