CHESTBlogThank You, Volunteers

With Gratitude During Volunteer Appreciation Week

Dear CHEST Volunteers,

We want to take a moment this week to say thank you. Not because it’s on the calendar, but because our gratitude is genuine.

What you give to CHEST isn’t small. Your time is already stretched. Your clinical work is demanding. Yet you show up—for committees, for reviews, for the unglamorous work of building something that outlasts any one of us. We both know what it costs to give this kind of time, and we know what it means.

We think about the patients who benefit from guidelines you helped shape, or the clinician somewhere who found their footing because of a program you contributed to. They may never know the full story behind the work—but the impact is real, and it belongs to you.

We invite you to explore this year’s CHEST Annual Report to see the many ways your contributions are making a difference across our organization and helping to advance our mission of improving patient care.

CHEST is only as good as the people willing to invest in it, and you are those people.

So from both of us, and from everyone at CHEST—thank you. For what you do, and for why you do it. That’s what makes this community worth being part of. Thank you for everything you do to support CHEST and to improve the lives of patients everywhere.

With genuine appreciation,
