Supporting the Mobile Cancer Screening Act

CHEST joined several health organizations in expressing support for the Mobile Cancer Screening Act, a bill to address disparities in access by providing funding and support for mobile screening units that can reach vulnerable populations, regardless of geography or socioeconomic status.
Eliminating financial barriers is a critical step toward increasing participation in lifesaving early detection programs. This is especially crucial for lung cancer screening, where only 18% of eligible individuals currently receive annual low-dose CT scans.1
