Where do you work?
I work at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center and Medical City Arlington in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area of Texas.

What are your research interests and how does this apply to your position within the Networks?
My interests are in critical care and lung ultrasound, and this was the driving factor leading to my current role in the Thoracic Oncology and Chest Procedures Network.

How did you become interested and involved in the Thoracic Oncology and Chest Procedures Network?
I have always been inspired by the CHEST Networks and opportunities they offer since my time as a fellow. My journey in the Networks started in 2015 during a trainee lounge visit. I interacted with many leaders in CHEST, and after learning about the amazing opportunities, I applied for a steering committee position in the Clinical Research and Quality Improvement NetWork and have been part of the CHEST Networks ever since.

Are you involved in any other activities or volunteer positions at CHEST?
I will be joining the Airways Disorders Network as a Member-at-Large in January 2024.

What clinical research is most interesting to you right now?
I am exploring my interests in and developing a critical care and lung ultrasound program for medical residents that is focused on quality improvement.

What are your hobbies?
Traveling, and watching and playing cricket.

What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
Teaching, traveling, and following cricket. (Cricket has officially landed in the US, and the first Major League Cricket games kicked off this summer. I saw a couple of games in the Grand Prairie Stadium.)

Is there anything else you’d like to share with your Network peers?
CHEST Networks are a great way of learning and educating at the same time. The experience I have gained from the Networks is very unique and has helped me in my career. I am happy to help new members at CHEST navigate their career pathway. I would also encourage fellows to get involved with CHEST.
