Where do you work?
I am currently in the United States Navy where I am the current head of Undersea Medicine and Radiation Health.

What are your research interests?
My personal research interests include swimming-induced pulmonary edema, diving medicine, and training nonphysician providers critical care skills. I am also heavily involved in training austere critical care skills for both military and nonmilitary providers.

How did you become interested and involved in CHEST's Networks?
I became involved in CHEST Networks via my military background and friendships with leaders within CHEST.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with your Network peers?
My most current medical interest is mechanical ventilation capabilities in resource-limited environments and training nonphysicians in managing severe respiratory failure. In my free time, I enjoy camping with my family and mountain biking, but my favorite hobby is breath-hold spearfishing all over the world, with Baja California being my all-time favorite place to fish.
