Celebrating Our Grant Recipients

Each year, CHEST offers grants to worthy research candidates, generous community service volunteers, and distinguished scholars, funded by the CHEST Foundation. In 2022, we awarded more than $600,000 in clinical research and community service grants to 23 individuals.

Over the years, the projects we have funded have transitioned from basic research projects into higher level translational research projects. Each year, the round of applicants becomes more versed in helping chest medicine advance and excel, and each year our grant review groups have the difficult decision of selecting the very best applicants. We are so proud of our winners.

We’d like to encourage every chest medicine professional to become a champion of lung health, whether that means applying for a grant or participating in a community service project. We would like to thank all our funders and organizations who we’ve been able to partner with this year to support these wonderful researchers. Together, we can revolutionize lung health.

Congratulations to the 2022 grant winners on their innovative and novel approaches to their work.
